Basically I talk about things in the world happening in the present, good or bad. But mostly bad. Really.

Reality Sets In, the U.S. Makes First Attempt to Shove Abusable Internet Censorship Bill Up Your Ass
http://demandprogress.org/blacklist/?source=fb
The U.S. takes another step towards the form of dictatorship Benito Mussolini once called Corporatism, because it was the merger of political and corporate interests with money directing the politicians. If you don't like fascism or internet censorship, sign the petition. To say this isn't another step towards this horrendous form of government is like saying the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is an accurate name for North Korea.

Eh, people push outrageous bills all the time. The extra publicity doesn't make it more likely to be passed.
ReplyDeleteThen again - I'm Canadian and can (mostly) afford to be apathetic here.
awesome man!
ReplyDeleteWhile i'm sure the states isn't as bad as they make themself look like, stuff like this isn't exactly making them look better either.
ReplyDeleteAlso, great pic!

ReplyDeleteIts getting worse!
ReplyDeleteIf they do this. I will become a terrorist.

ReplyDeleteSigned the petition
ReplyDeleteI really don't think it has a shot at passing, but it's curious that Patrick Leahy (who supports net neutrality and the DISCLOSE Act) co-sponsored this bill.
ReplyDeleteHe's up for re-election this year, but isn't up against a viable challenger. I am a bit curious as to how he could take two seemingly contradictory positions. Perhaps if his DISCLOSE Act would have passed, we might have been able to read a bit more into this.
Hm I need to look into this more
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Australia... don't let this happen!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone here cares about Net Neutrality, go to savetheinternet.com. Also, keep posting! <3

ReplyDeleteths will never pass
ReplyDeletesigned, but they're fooling themselves if they think the need to communicate freely won't drive the invention of ways to do such.
ReplyDeleteFollowed, they'll never pass the bill though
ReplyDeleteYou know, it's interesting when you think about it. People almost never think what they're doing is wrong. But when someone else does it..
ReplyDeleteRemoving that fuckin linkbucks bullshit. The money you make from it is miniscule and it's much more of a liability than an asset
ReplyDeleteSigned it long time ago passed the word on facebook tho
